It’s been a long winter and even longer spring, but it’s coming together nicely. Most of the snowpack has melted and the rivers are filling up. While the 2025 fishing season is technically underway in Maine, we won’t start booking our fly fishing trips for wild brook trout and salmon until Mid-May. Being this far north, spring takes it’s time and we patiently wait for the fishing to get good. Sure we can go out today, 38 degrees, but it’s not much fun. In just over a month though, we’ll be in the perfect time for our spring fishing season to get underway. We have limited space at this point for May and early June so if that’s your timeframe, you should check with us on available dates. We do still have some guides available for mid-June into early July, and that is a great time to throw dry fly combo’s. The smallmouth bass fishing heats up at the very end of May and keeps getting better and better as the season progresses. If fact, some of our best big-fish smallmouth days are in September. Anywho, this is just a friendly update and reminder to get your trip booked for 2025. We’ll see ya out there. Chris, Greg and Mike
